We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming webinar titled, “Technology Should Empower You” on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 11:00 – 11:30 am PST. Varsity Founder and CEO, Patrick Ciccarelli, will be discussing the “why” and “what” of technology, while also talking specifically about how technology can help remote work happen collaboratively. Patrick will combine recent trends along with his personal experiences to explain the philosophy to leveraging IT solutions that will empower you and your organization. You don’t want to miss it!
The “why” behind technology is one of the most important things to Varsity. In the early 1990’s, Patrick Ciccarelli uncovered an opportunity to help children learn by bringing technology into the classroom. He saw first-hand how technology changed his students’ relationship to learning — they were excited, engaged, and motivated. Patrick was so inspired that he created a program called the Cisco Networking Academy at San Francisco State University. The program helped students prepare for careers in the IT industry. Students who may not have considered IT were able to begin long-lasting careers throughout the Silicon Valley.
Patrick understands the value of technology and education working synergistically to empower others, which is why he founded Varsity. He said, “I took my teaching skills and applied it to understanding the customer and their needs. The customers also wanted to understand the why and what of technology. They craved clarity and to be empowered to do better for their organization. So, I created a model that focused on education first, not selling.” Under this defining goal, Varsity helps create social impact through the strategic use of technology.
Cybersecurity: Cybercrimes have increased 600% during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a study by PurpleSec. Cybersecurity crimes are only continuing to get more sophisticated. How is your organization prepared? At Varsity, we’re passionate about educating small businesses and non-profit organizations about how to stay safer and more secure online. We offer a variety of managed security services to fit your unique needs, as well as a free security assessment to find out where your organization stands.
Cloud Services: When many businesses went virtual, cloud infrastructure grew tremendously, and it will only continue to grow in the coming year ahead. There are specific trends to watch, as discussed in this recent Forbes article. Regardless of how your organization utilizes the cloud (or doesn’t, yet!), Varsity can help support your cloud infrastructure. We offer private, cloud-hosting services at competitive pricing. We’re also cloud agnostic, which means that we can support AWS, Azure, or even hybrid environments.
Managed IT Services: Think outsourcing your IT is too costly? Think again! It can save your organization money, time, and resources in the long run. By outsourcing your technology services to a professional team of experts like Varsity, you can focus on your organization’s primary operations and strategic goals. Varsity can assist with a variety of managed IT services — from help desk support to IT operations management.
Collaborative Remote Work: With many organizations continuing to stay remote or deciding to adopt a hybrid workplace model, technology can be an excellent way to support your team. With tools like communication technology, managed voice services, and application support, working from anywhere can be a breeze. Varsity can support your remote workplace in the most efficient way possible.
