Information Collection – What Personally Identifiable Information is being collected?

Varsity Technologies collects Personally Identifiable Information when you become a Varsity Technologies customer or when you use certain Varsity Technologies services. Varsity Technologies collects Personally Identifiable Information such as name, address, shipping address, phone number, and email address when you register for the Varsity Technologies service. Varsity Technologies uses this information for subscription billing purposes as well as to communicate the status of your order. In addition, Varsity Technologies may collect log file information such as your IP address, browser agent, referring URL, cookie information and other identifier information such as user names for statistical analysis and personalized services. Varsity Technologies may also collect information about your modem’s location in order to provide location based personalized services.

Varsity Technologies does not knowingly collect information from any children under age 13 and does not have information targeted for children under age 13.

Information Use and Distribution – How is Personally Identifiable Information being used?

Varsity Technologies may use the Personally Identifiable Information for the following general purposes:

  • Varsity Technologies will use some unique identifier to verify your identity when you set up your service or request support
  • Personalization services: Varsity Technologies will use cookies, preferences profile and demographic information to deliver customized and targeted services, communications, programs, advertising and/or content
  • Personally Identifiable Information may be required for some Varsity Technologies services. Customers must explicitly opt in for these services.
  • If the customer opts-in, Varsity Technologies will also use Personally Identifiable Information to deliver service update news and promotions to the customer.
  • Personally Identifiable Information is used for a variety of statistical analyses conducted for Varsity Technologies’ purposes and is not shared with third parties. This information is used to expand and enhance Varsity Technologies services.

As with traditional Internet services, the Varsity Technologies service has the capability to set and access cookies. At this time, Varsity Technologies does not set or access cookies for any of the Varsity Technologies services, but Varsity Technologies does allow other companies that are presenting advertising on our service to set and access cookies. Other companies’ use of cookies is not covered in this statement and is subject to the external companies’ own privacy policies.


Varsity Technologies employs a range of security measures to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Through technology licensing and system architecture, we have created strong security throughout the Varsity Technologies service. Web server transactions are made secure using 56bit version of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. The entire Varsity Technologies network is housed within a physically secure facility using data security procedures.


Varsity Technologies will adapt its privacy guidelines to meet regulatory requirements in each international location supported by Varsity Technologies.
