  • Windows Copilot is integrated directly into Windows 11
  • Copilot in Edge appears as a browser-based assistant

Same name. Different products. Different controls. Different risks.

Microsoft 365 Copilot is designed to help users draft, summarize, analyze, and organize work inside the tools they already use. Depending on configuration, it can draw from internet content and from your organization’s data that users already have permission to access.

Licensing matters here, and it changes. Microsoft maintains official documentation explaining eligibility and requirements.

When It Makes Sense to Step Off the AI Bandwagon
